Zuarina


A legend called Zuarina, inherited by Mrs Ugolotti, wife of the founder. The story began over a century ago in Langhirano, which soon became the homeland of raw ham and an obligatory destination for connoisseurs of this delicacy.  Zuarina is a byword for the finest Parma ham, sweet, smooth, proverbial in quality and unmistakable in flavour. Zuarina is still produced today following  time-honoured rules of careful meat selection, expert  salting and perfect maturation . Simple but effective rules that have made this product a world-wide success from the United States to Japan.

PARMA DOP

This most famous of Italian raw hams is made at the Langhirano factory (Parma) using finest Italian leg of pork. It is lightly and evenly salted and is left to mature slowly to obtain a fragrant and particularly sweet ham that is enjoyed all over the world. It is served thinly sliced accompanied with a fine young white wine such as Malvasia dei Colli di Parma.
